People love success, especially when the results of success benefit many other people.
Governments, many large companies, universities and many other charitable agencies give money in the form of grants. A grant is often just a donation of cash.
If someone believes that a project or a campaign is worthwhile, they might help by donating money. There are long lines of hopeful applicants reaching out to those who provide grants.
Unfortunately, not every cause can win a grant. The recipients of grants have a very fortunate opportunity.
