Humanity dictates that people have some degree of compassion for others, especially during a time of emergency.  That is not always what happens, however.  

Members of a community in an area might be in dire circumstances.  There might be limited resources.  Some individuals or businesses go to that area with a supply of goods that are in great demand.  

Their intention is to sell their merchandise at very elevated prices.  This is taking advantage of the people in that emergency condition.  It is price gouging and fortunately it is a crime punishable by law.

인류는 사람들이 다른 이들에게 어느 정도의 동정심을 가질 것을 요구한다, 특히 비상시에는 더욱 그렇다. 그러나 항상 그렇지는 않다. 

한 지역의 구성원들이 심각한 상황에 처할 수 있다. 자원들이 한정 될 수 있다. 어떤 기업들이나 혹은 개인적으로 수요가 많은 물건들은 공급받아 그 지역으로 간다. 

그들의 목적은 매우 비싼 가격으로 그들의 상품을 판매하는 것이다. 그런 비상 상황에 놓여 있는 그 사람들을 이용해 먹는 것이다. 그것은 가격 착취이며 다행스럽게도 법으로 처벌받는 범죄이다.
