A slush fund is a money account that is used for dishonest purposes, allegedly.  In some countries, powerful industries use money to influence politicians, allegedly.  

Citizens rely on politicians to make decisions and perform actions that benefit society and bring good results for the economy and consumers.  

However, powerful businesses sometimes use their slush funds, allegedly, to bring results that they want, regardless of what consumers want, allegedly.  

Fortunately, we can have confidence that things like that don’t happen where we live.

비자금은 부정한 목적으로 사용되는 것으로 의심의 여지가 있는 계좌를 뜻한다. 일부 국가에서는 막대한 영향력을 지닌 산업이 정치인들에게 영향력을 행사하기 위해 돈을 사용한다고 한다. 

시민들은 정치인들이 사회에 이익이 되며 경제와 소비자에게 좋은 결과를 가져오는 결정을 내리고 행동을 취해줄 것이라 믿는다. 

그러나 힘 있는 기업들은 때때로 소비자가 원하는 것과 상관없이 원하는 결과를 얻기 위해 비자금을 사용한다고 한다. 

다행히도, 우리는 우리가 사는 곳에서는 그런 일이 벌어지지 않는다는 확신을 가질 수 있다.
