Earned income helps to pay for goods and services necessary to keep people living in safety, health and comfort.  What is the course of action when income is not enough to pay for basic needs?  

Some people turn to family for extra financial support.  That option is not always available.  When a citizen is struggling to get by, it’s fortunate if the government can provide some kind of assistance.  

Without this assistance, an entire segment of society cannot sufficiently function.  The survival of the lower economic class depends on government assistance.

일을 하고 받은 수입은 사람들이 안전하고 건강하며 편안하게 생활하는 데 필요한 상품을 구입 및 제공에 대한 비용을 지불하는 데 도움이 된다.  소득이 기본적인 필요 요건들을 지불하기에 충분하지 않다면 방책은 무엇인가? 

어떤 사람들은 추가 재정적 지원을 위해 가족에게 의지한다. 그 선택을 언제나 가능한 것은 아니다. 시민이 생활에 어려움을 겪고 있을 때, 정부가 어떤 종류의 도움을 줄 수 있다면 다행이다. 

이러한 지원 없이는 사회 전체가 충분히 제대로 기능할 수 없다. 저소득층의 생존은 정부의 지원에 달려 있다.
