Statistically, poverty is determined by level of income.  The government decides how much income is necessary to live a normal, average life. 

If one’s income is less than that number, it is considered living in poverty. 

However, not living in poverty and living a comfortable, convenient life are two very different things. 

Those living in poverty might have just enough to survive, but not much more.  Most people fear poverty and work very hard to avoid it.

통계적으로, 빈곤은 소득 수준에 의해 결정된다. 정부는 정상적이며, 평균적인 삶을 살기 위해 얼마의 수입이 필요한지 결정한다.

수입이 그 숫자보다 적으면, 가난하게 사는 것으로 간주된다.

하지만, 가난 속에서 살지 않는 것과 편안하고 편리한 삶을 사는 두 가지는 매우 다른 것이다.

가난하게 사는 것은 생존할 만지 모르지만, 그 이상은 아니다. 대부분의 사람들은 가난을 두려워하고 가난을 피하기 위해 매우 열심히 노력한다.
